Perley Boyd Lawrence of Athens aged 60 died at 4:45 PM Monday at 24 East Washington Street from a heart attack. Born August 20, 1871 in Cart hage Township, he lived in Athens since 1885 and attended Ohio University. He was a Beta Theta Pi member, First Methodist treasurer, and worked in carriage and harness with his father before five years at Cline's Pharmacy. He married Abbie Whipple in 1893. their daughter Grace died in 1926. Survived by his widow and brother Wesley Boyd Lawrence. Funeral at 2 PM Thursday at the residence, with burial in West Union Cemetery Sampler family plot.
