Generations Unite for Evergreen Workshop at Tri County Tech
Athens Garden Club joined students of Mrs. Jackie Vlasak on a Monday evergreen workshop at Tri County Technical College. They compared methods for door swags and grave blankets using pine, spruce, hemlock and barberry. About 25 grave blankets five baskets and several door swags were completed for the project’s proceeds. Club president Mrs. C A Slater notes the earnings fund landscaping for East State Street City recreation park this year.

Albany Community Garden Club Meeting Delights Members
The Albany Community Garden Club met at Mrs. George Bean’s home. Devotions from a booklet owned by her husband’s grandmother opened the gathering. Guest speaker Mrs. Hollis Stalder demonstrated drying flowers and making sachets with lavender and rose petals. The president, Mrs. Adria Francisco, gave each member a marble and dried flower favor. The group plans a December luncheon gift exchange at Mrs. C. E. Stout’s home.
