Yule Season Opens in Middleport Parade and Festivities
Middleport merchants officially opened the Christmas season with a Monday night parade featuring Santa and a moonlight sale. The town beams with decorations as stores display wares and a tall lighted tree greets shoppers near the Kiddie Shop. Pomeroy lights fade this year due to outages and budget limits cited by the chamber of commerce president Jack Kerr. Trinity University in San Antonio has opened its 43rd major academic building.
