Nelsonville council approves emergency deep well project
The Nelsonville City Council adopted a motion under emergency procedure to hire labor and materials for a deep gravel packed elevated well and pump at the water works, costing about 15000 dollars. The measure aims to create an emergency water supply, though opponents warn of higher treatment costs for harder well water and possible river-based alternatives.
