Pomeroy court fined Russell Barnhart 25 of Nelsonville five dollars plus costs for failing to yield the right of way after a weekend incident on West Main Street. Two men were fined for DWI in Meigs County Court. An administrator was appointed for the estate of Harry W. Pickens in Meigs County. Several legal notices, including guardianship and property sale petitions, appeared in Athens County Probate Court.

It lies on Township Road 80 about one mile off County Road 42 adjoining Elmer Dunfee Farm. The premises appraised at 3750 00 cannot be sold for less than two thirds of that amount. Roy Lee Henry of Gallipolis Ferry was fined 50 dollars and costs and sentenced to 15 days in jail for indecent exposure by Justice A. M. Goodwin. Robert Carr of Point Pleasant James W. Duncan of Gallipolis Ferry and Roy Jackson McDade of Apple Grove were fined 10 dollars and costs on a drunkenness charge. Laryr Willet of Point Pleasant was fined 10 dollars and costs for improper plates.
