Ohio Growth Attracting Record Private Investment
Private investment into Ohio University has surged over the past two years as developers from across the state and nation fund housing and facilities. Tishman Realty built Bromley Hall, a nine story dormitory in downtown Athens costing about 3.5 million, with 580 students housed. Rumac Corp. developed Lakeview Manor at 2.6 million. Additional projects include 4 million Richland Ave married student housing and a 3 million family-unit complex, along with The Ohio University Inn and Highlander Motel expansions and the Lakeview Community Center.
