Six Are Fined by Magistrate in Athens
Ed Coler and Dale Carty of Stockport were fined 100 and 25 dollars plus costs after pleading guilty to intoxicated driving and interference with arrest by Magistrate C. H. Porter. Coler’s license suspension was six months. Three other arrestees, William Baker of Canamville fined 25, and R G Vaughan of Hollister and Ray Devere of Columbus fined 5 each, were cited for license tag issues and lights violations. Clyde Vernon, of Chauncey, pleaded not guilty to failure to provide for two minor children and was bound over to the Athens County Grand Jury under 300 dollars bond.
