Mrs Ada Ellen Norman Brandon 19, wife of Pvt Robert E Brandon 20, was killed when their car left the road 11 miles east of Coolville. The groom, returning from Germany, was listed in critical condition at Camden Clark Hospital Parkersburg. Witnesses said drizzle and a slick highway contributed to the crash as another Malta man George Bell 21 died earlier Saturday after a separate accident. Burial plans set for Vanderhoof Church Coolville.
