Redfern’s 4609 Mile Brazil Flight Begins From Brunswick
Paul Redfern took off from Glynn Isle's field in the monoplane Port of Brunswick at 12 46 p m EST aiming for Rio de Janeiro. The 200 horsepower Wright engine stalled on the first try. a second attempt succeeded. The craft carries 525 gallons of fuel with 550 capacity and includes wing tanks, totaling nearly three tons.
