County reports good overall crop prospects despite a miniature cloudburst Saturday night that flooded Green Branch Creek in Carthage Township. Barker launches strip farming on about 45 acres to curb erosion, mirroring Mt. Vernon practices. D. A. Fitzgerald notes 1937 AAA program progress and rising county participation.
