Davison Named Dean of Ohio U College
Dr. Beaumont Davison named dean of the College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. He succeeds Dr. Richard Dorf as the new chief academic administrator after serving as professor and chair of electrical engineering. Davison’s research spans microwave devices and navigation systems. previously executive VP of Industrial Electronic Rubber Co. in Twinsburg. He holds a BE from Vanderbilt 1950 and MBE and PhD from Syracuse. member of Tau Beta Pi Sigma Xi Eta Kappa Nu and IEEE. He is a native of Atlanta with wife Ruth and two children Alan and Lynn.

Former Ohio University president Vernon Alden bought state owned furniture from the president’s mansion for 2527 dollars after leaving for a New York bond firm. The sale, approved by the board of trustees, covered about 60 pieces with items dating back to 1954.
