Population Restudy May Bring $1 Million for Athens County
Ath ens Chamber of Commerce proposes a county population restudy to secure a state bond issue extra funds. If Athens County is reclassified above 50 000 residents it could receive about 1 million dollars in additional highway funds. The restudy was unveiled at the chamber board meeting in Baker Center.
