Cincinnati Man Sentenced in Prison Break Slaying
Fred Kellogg of Cincinnati, a state penitentiary prisoner, received an indefinite term with a 10 year minimum for his role in the slaying of Penitentiary Guard Grant Weakley during a break for liberty at a dentist office about a year ago. Patrick Riley, another inmate, had earlier been given a life sentence for second degree murder. The sentence was imposed by Judge N Craig McBride, Hillsboro, on assignment.

Chauncey July 17 Aug 17 David A. Sutton aged 84 a Civil War veteran and Stewart resident was buried today after funeral services at Haga church. He leaves a widow four children Mark Sutton Averilla Conant Nathan Sutton and Mrs Henry George and many grandchildren. Relatives from Chauncey attended the funeral.

The Rev and Mrs V Ahlbrand hosted a Thursday afternoon party for local children and visiting Bray grandchildren Mildred Willis and Junior with parents Noah and Bray Hemlock Ohio. Mildred and Willis sang with guitar while Mrs Bray and the Ahlbrands sang. Mr Ahlbrand played accordion. In Sheltering Arms hospital Athens two Millfield girls recoveries are reported Miss Clara Bell and Mrs Wayne Snyder. Bell admitted Monday evening after a week long illness at home. Snyder had a surgical operation on August 12. District nurse Ann Morgan traveled to Columbus to examine James McCall 17 crippled by infantile paralysis since age one and left him at the Children's Hospital for treatment.
