Walnut tree crushes youth to death near New Marshfield
Ernest Trout twenty of New Marshfield died about 4 15 PM at Sheltering Arms hospital from injuries after a walnut tree he was cutting pinned him to the ground. The accident occurred around 1 30 PM on land three quarters of a mile from Trout’s home. Witnesses William Hughes and W H Elliott moved the tree and rushed Trout to the hospital. doctors reported a fractured skull and severe back injuries. Funeral services are planned Friday at 3 PM in the Christian church with burial in New Marshfield cemetery.
