Real One Earnest Campbell Kills Large Rattlesnake
Athens carrier Ernest Campbell on route No. 7 killed a 40 inch rattlesnake with eleven rattles and a button after it approached a group of men near a garden. The specimen will be stuffed and placed in the Ohio University museum, one of the district’s largest of the variety in years. Campbell said he had not seen a rattler in 25 years and interest grew as he presented the snake last night.
