Mason County Fair honors dairy and pet winners at Mason Junior and Senior shows
Attendance reached 4000 at the Mason County Fair in the TNT area National Guard building. Pet parade winners include smallest pet guppies David Grimm and most obedient dog Sarah Flower. Dairy winners feature Georganna Sonmer blue ribbon champion Holstein, Richard Rood reserve champion, Jimmy Dunn and Eddy Stewart as top cows, with numerous blue ribbons in junior and senior divisions across calves and yearlings. Open class crops and poultry also saw blue ribbon honors for multiple exhibitors.

Two Men Fined In Gasoline Theft Case
In Gallipolis Municipal Court two men were fined 10 dollars plus costs for gasoline theft. Eddie Cole and Jerry Yauger were named in the arraignment. Jordan Andrew Comer, 43, of Park Central Hotel Gallipolis, faced a 50 dollar fine for insufficient funds, suspended with restitution ordered. Arnold Skaggs was arrested by the Sheriff on indecent exposure and released on bond. The sheriff’s report also noted a minor accident at Tiny’s parking lot in Kananga involving a Davis vehicle and a Grimm vehicle.

Car Wheels Stolen from Lot at Racine Dam Site
In Letart near the Racine Dam construction site a theft and vandalism occurred between 2 and 5 am Thursday. Dale New of Ravenswood reported all four wheels and tires stolen from his car, with the battery destroyed and wires pulled from the motor in an attempted rewiring.
