Paul Stump Promoted By Gas Co
Logan Paul C Stump of Columbus a former Hocking County deputy engineer has been promoted to general superintendent of lease and right of way for Columbia Gas Transmission Corp headquartered in Columbus. Stump began in 1952 as an abstracter in lease and right of way at Logan. He was title examiner then transferred to Columbus in 1962 and named superintendent of right of way in 1971. Born in Logan he graduated Logan High School 1939 and Ohio University 1950 earning a B S in electrical engineering. He served three years in the Air Force in World War II. He is a member of the American Right of Way Association and Trinity United Methodist Church Logan. Stump, 51, and wife Julia have two sons and two daughters.

A late night two car collision at S Pennsylvania Ave and 11th Street sent a Wellston youth to the hospital. Roger Kelly 17 collided with Michael Hale 19, sending Hale onto a sidewalk in front of E. E. Chambers Department Store. John Lewis 19 was treated and released from Holzer Medical Center. Police continue investigation.

Man Admits Setting Fire To Trailer
Jayjohn McArthur 33 of McArthur Route 2 confessed at the Vinton County sheriff's office to starting a house trailer fire on Route 683 five miles west of here. The McArthur Volunteer Fire Department arrived at 9:20 p.m. Thursday to find the trailer a total loss with no injuries.

Two Drivers Cited After Nelsonville Intersection Crash
At 8 30 p m a two car collision at Third and Canal Streets left Wilbur Hochins 71 Nelsonville and Ronald C Marquis 21 Columbus cited. Marquis received a passing on the right citation while Hochins was cited for leaving the scene. Both must appear in Mayor s Court Saturday morning.
