Nelsonville report notes Martha members of the M. E. Church held an Aug 7 lawn picnic at Mrs Parker S. Suiffen s Fayette St home. Fifteen members and three guests attended a 6:30 pm dinner, social hour, no meeting. Outdoor decor featured garden and woods flowers, homemade ice cream and cake. Church Group Schedules Program On Monday Night
Nelsonville Woman's Society of Christian Service of the M E Church met Monday evening August 6 in the church social rooms. Mrs Parker S Sniffen led the program with devotions by Mrs Rose Cook and piano by Miss Bessie Stephenson. Guest artist Mrs Harry Sisson outlined her work and performed two numbers. The group discussed the 100 60 package Christmas project for Christians in war torn Europe and noted illness and absence of other officers.
