Athens supt raises concerns on Cadillac tax
The Athens City School Board approved a three year negotiated AFSCME contract running through 2018 with a first year salary increase and unchanged insurance costs. Superintendent Gibbs warned the Cadillac tax under the Affordable Care Act could require changes by 2019 and urged legislative action. The deal covers non teaching staff and runs Sept 1 this year to Aug 31, 2018.
