Businessmen Protest Parking Meters in Pomeroy
A petition signed by about 40 Pomeroy businessmen opposed the new parking meter plan presented at the village council meeting. Meters would charge five cents for one hour and five cents for 15 minutes in many Main St. locations. The council indicated the plan is experimental and may be adjusted if unsuccessful, with no aim to raise revenue.
