Marketing Specialist Explains Milk Price Rise in Southeast Ohio
Dean Dowler of the Southeastern Ohio Milk Marketing Cooperatives told Athens Rotary Club members that milk and dairy product prices will keep rising due to a regional shortage. He cited fewer dairymen, high initial investment, long hours, and a seven day work week as factors, noting Wisconsin and Columbus markets influence Ohio prices and that wholesalers profit most.
