Bandmaster James Larson greeted 40 to 50 Middleport High School musicians for the first rehearsal. He aims to build three bands and two Boys’ Chorus groups with daily sessions at 9 am through summer and hopes for a strong concert band and orchestra later. He commends local support and plans shows at football games, noting vacancies in trombone, bass and baritone, and inviting former band members to attend.
