An editorial condemns Walter Palmer for paying $55,000 to kill Cecil the Zimbabwe lion. It argues the outrage targets a culture that accepts for profit big game hunts and trophy killing, not food or danger, and notes Palmer’s past poaching conviction and public hiding after the incident.

Robotic killers online not as grim as Cecil the lion hunt
A broad group led by Walter Palmer, Stephen Hawking and Steve Wozniak warned of killer robots while Palmer’s Cecil the lion killing drew worldwide condemnation.
