Burr Oak Dam Funds Still Seen As Live Issue
A Burr Oak Dam delegation to Columbus met with Frank Raschig and Don Waters to explore funding the dam as a joint federal state project. The group learned that state funds require General Assembly appropriation, with $295,000 needed to match $400,000 from the federal government. If not available, a 1947 legislature session may be asked to authorize the funding. Congressman Jenkins joined the talks.
