Learning Process Said Best Way To Modify Behavior
Dr. Edward Dietiker of Ohio University explained behavior modification as a learning process. He outlined that normal behavior requires knowing expectations, situational practice, proper timing, and appropriate rewards or punishments while abnormal behavior stems from missing skills, mistimed actions, or ignored stimuli. He noted children value adult presence and attention, warning that attention can reinforce misbehavior.
