Logan Creates Post of Recreation Director Reales
Logan city council on Tuesday created a city recreation director position to be hired by the recreation board at an annual salary of 1800 dollars. Delinquency case ties five youths to Legion Hall burglary
Logan-Thomas Nihiser 26 of Logan Route 2 posted a $600 bond after pleading innocent to contributing to the delinquency of five minors. He was arraigned before Hocking County Juvenile Judge Rhea Bangert Brown. Five juveniles were cited in the weekend burglary of the American Legion hall where five World War I French rifles were stolen and later recovered by the sheriff's department.

Scholarship Teams Honored At Logan High Banquet
Logan High School honored 76 scholarship team members at a Tuesday night banquet in the school cafeteria. Teams, chosen from over 900 students in grades 9-12, will take state and district tests at Ohio University on Saturday at 8 45 a.m. Kiwanis Club sponsored the event.

Four-Legged Escapee Recaptured by Logan Officers
Logan police patrolmen Tom Hutchinson and Albert Shannon chased and roped a stray palomino horse found prancing along Route 33 at 2 am Tuesday. They took the animal to a fairgrounds stable where owner Leroy Conkle claimed him later that afternoon.
