Patricia Joy Payne nine, of Duncan Oklahoma, stopped breathing after a swing injury and fell into a coma. Surgeons removed a brain blood clot during emergency surgery and she awoke Easter morning. Parents Floyd and wife call it their Easter miracle and say she is well enough to attend a movie.

Mrs Sally Mable Demmy 38 was found dead Sunday morning near Big Walnut Creek behind her Columbus home. She wore jeans and a blouse, lay kneeling in two feet of water with bruises. Coroner says she died about 3 30 am of suffocation possibly drowning. home showed disorder with overturned lamps and burning iron. Husband Carl Demmy was traced to Carmel Highland County.
The home of Clyde Young on Sand Hill Road was destroyed by a fire Easter Sunday morning. Authorities, led by Chief Phil Batey, believe an overheated stove started the blaze, with contents lost and only the cellar remaining. Twelve New Haven firefighters fought the blaze for about five miles from Latart. The family was at home when the fire started.
