Lessons in Bridge West Embarrassment After poor play prompts critique

The article recounts a bridge hand where West opens with the queen of clubs and the resulting misplay leads to a loss. It describes the deductions and possible better lines such as leading the ace to force partner's high card and switching suits to shut out diamonds. The narrator notes how the misplay could cost South about seven tricks.

Card play note on club lead and setup in bridge

A bridge hand discussion notes West cashing the ace and jack to set up the tenth trick for South. It argues the queen of clubs is the normal opening lead to force out the king while partner holds a club of two, guiding later play if partner wins trick four.

Bridge bidding puzzle with overcalls and passes

The text presents a fragmented bridge bidding scenario with North South East West responses including 2 Clubs and 2 Hearts, followed by a pass and questions about the correct action for South. It appears to be a classroom or magazine card posing a bidding problem rather than a full hand details.
