Corn Fertilizer Pays Says Ohio Expert

R E Yoder of the Ohio Experiment Station notes an average ten bushel per acre gain from eight spreader loads of manure per acre. Spreading across the full field yields better results than heavy application in one spot. Manure should be supplemented with commercial fertilizer containing nitrogen such as 2-12-6 or 9-12-12. Applications of 156 pounds per acre in the air or up to 300 pounds per acre in the row are economical, with reductions on land lacking organic matter.
