The Sayre Study Club marked its 32nd anniversary with a luncheon at Ohio University. Charter members attended and a centerpiece of daffodils and irises was displayed. Members praised Mrs. Bick and others for their contributions.
The Higley Study Circle met at the home of Mrs. George L. Seth to celebrate the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parone. A dinner was served after a program featuring music and a book review. Members and guests included Mrs. F. L. Shoemaker presiding and Mrs. Martha Norman, Mrs. Norma Parsons, and Mrs. Elsie Norman among others.
Chrysanthemums and jonquils decorated the Shrine Room at the Masonic Temple for the Athens White Shrine No 6 installation of officers. A blue shield with the year’s motto Judge Not and watchword Courtesy and Kindness framed the backdrop as Bernard Spaulding welcomed members and guests from Marietta and Belpre.
