A makeshift gasoline bomb exploded at Club Mecca in south central Los Angeles killing six people at the scene and injuring at least five others. Police say three men threw the bomb after being denied service, then escaped in a car amid gunfire from a barrage of bullets.
U S Weather Bureau forecasts a crest of 32 to 37 feet along the Ohio River at Parkersburg Marietta and Lock 22 may occur around midnight Sunday. Several tributaries rise with minor flooding closing roads and schools. A teen, James Miller 17, drowned in Deer Creek near Mt Sterling after a rowboat overturned.
