Retired Army officer and Ohio University alumnus Brig. Gen Wilbur Reece McReynolds 64 and his wife Faye 61 were shot dead in their St Petersburg Florida home by guest Maurice M Chavigny 44. McReynolds who earned an A B and B S from OU in 1915 1916 served in France in World War I and later led Quartermaster Corps training. He had attended OU reunions and spoke at events during the 1940s. He is survived by his wife and a relative in Orlando.
