Blaze in Empire Laundry Second Story
Mr. Clay King, head of the dry cleaning department at Empire Laundry, suffered cuts and burns when gasoline spilled and flames rose in a upstairs room. He escaped through a broken window after a ladder arrived, and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire with a chemical extinguisher. Loss amounted to only a few cents.
