Pay As You Enter Cars To Replace Athens Street Service
All Athens electric line cars will switch to a pay as you enter system. Closed cars are being rebuilt to this type, two steel cars will arrive for winter service, and a double schedule will run on the Boulevard Prince line. Mr. Andy McCune seeks his fifteen year old son Henry McCune who ran away from the Southern Manufacturing Company factory at Athens. The lad, red headed and freckled with a blue serge suit and brown suitcase, worked as a weaver earning ten to twelve dollars weekly, saved funds, and is believed headed toward Abbeville or Anderson, South Carolina. The last sighting was just before a southbound S A L train near Athens Tuesday morning.
