Five Young Boys Face Trial Over Athens Burglary Spree
A gang of five boys aged ten to fifteen faces trial before Judge West for a string of burglaries in Athens. Police linked them to break ins at Mrs. Moss’s home, the Prince Lyndon chapter house, Can dler Hall dormitory, the new court house, and Sanford Field, as well as thefts from shops and freight cars. They confessed to numerous offenses, with police piecing together a pattern of systematic theft. The court will determine remand to reform school or other disposition this week.

Veteran of Civil War dies after paralysis
Yesterday the community mourned the death of W. H. Foster aged 78 at his Tallassee Bridge road home. A Civil War veteran wounded in battle, he had suffered since then. He leaves a wife and several grown children. Funeral and burial will be in Alabama, with services in Cleveland yesterday and Monday, escorted by Rev. C. C. Jarrell and a delegation from the United Commercial Travelers.
