Mrs Benedict Died Yesterday in Athens Home
Mrs Annie Bloomfield Benedict wife of Dr Samuel C Benedict died yesterday morning at her Broad Street home after months of illness. A devout church and family figure she guided her home with quiet grace and care for husband and children. Survived by husband, son Dr S R Benedict, daughters Mrs DeForest Hicks and Miss Julia Benedict, father R J Bloomfield, brothers Dr James Bloomfield and sister Miss Elizabeth Bloomfield. Funeral at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at eleven this morning. interment in Oconee Cemetery. Pallbearers named I H C White D C Barrow A E Griffith E Bancroft C A Scudder C D Flantgen.

Lecture on Robert E. Lee to be Held at Colonial Opera
Dr R Lin Cave of Tennessee will deliver a lecture on the life and character of General Robert E. Lee at the Colonial Opera on Friday night November 3. Former Senator Clay of Georgia praised the talk and urged every town and student hear it. Miss Millie Rutherford will introduce Dr Cave. Admission is 50 cents. 25 cents for children under 12.
