Cotton Congress Delivers Profitable Georgia Convention
The Cotton Congress held yesterday at the state college of agriculture in Athens drew about one hundred delegates from over fifty counties. President W. W. Webb of Hahira led the meeting with remarks on farmer unity and better cotton prices, praised the Farmers' Union, and urged membership. Dr. A. M. Soule welcomed delegates and spoke on agricultural education, while Prof. R. J. H. DeLoach and Prof. Jarnigan addressed cotton marketing and live stock husbandry. Mrs Billups Funeral Held At Oconee Cemetery
The burial of Mrs Emma V Billups age seventy four took place yesterday afternoon at Oconee cemetery. She died in Atlanta from paralysis.
