Winnie Davis Hall to be Turned Over to State Normal School

City officials report the Winnie Davis Memorial Hall bonds signed and half delivered with the rest to be disposed of at par. A committee from the Georgia Division of the Daughters of the Confederacy will turn the building over to the State Normal School in Athens after the Atlanta session ends on the 29th inst. A formal program with an orator is planned at Winnie Davis Hall and a luncheon will honor visiting delegates. The Laura Rutherford Chapel will host the visiting committee and escorts.

Fine Of Fifty On A Blind Tiger

Yesterday morning Abe Lowe was arraigned before Mayor Rhodes on the charge of selling liquor illegally. The evidence was against Abe and he was found guilty. The mayor placed a fine of fifty dollars upon him. Officers pulled the blind tiger 28 Abe's home on Rock Spring Street in the southwestern part of the city.

Case in Mayor's Court over street trade solicitation

A Broad street merchant Sid ney Boley faced trial in Mayor Rhodes court under an ordinance banning soliciting trade outside the business locale. After witnesses testified the case was dismissed. A second defendant, Mr. Cent, employed by Mr. Hoff, was fined two dollars and a half for violation.
