Peter Hightower, colored, was fined by Mayor Rhodes yesterday morning after abusing his wife and causing disorder. She testified against him, and after the fine was imposed she managed to raise the money to quash his fin. The report includes unrelated ad-like excerpts about Grape Nuts products and a testimonial from Postum Co.
The Georgia Baptist convention met in Macon on November 23, drawing large attendance. Leaders reported $16,000 for benevolence, $25,000 for home missions, and $51,000 for foreign missions, with emphasis on supporting the Ponce de Leon church project and state evangelists. Northen was reappointed president. Riversedeul secretary. several vice presidents named.

The Association of Collegiate AY Que holds sessions in Athens with delegates from major educational institutions. Athens residents welcome an updated skating schedule with morning and afternoon sessions extended to 11.30 to 1.00 pm. Night sessions remain as before while two big changes take effect on the 27th Monday. One half of gross receipts on last Tuesday each month goes to the University Athletic Association. Four young men will assist lady beginners during morning sessions.

President E C Branson of the State Normal School gave a spirited talk on Reality Education to educators in Nashville gathered for the Southern Educational Association session. The address impressed many attendees and highlighted ongoing education debates in the assembly.
