The municipal primary has been ordered for Tuesday November 21 with Australian ballot rules enforced. Three managers and two clerks per precinct, with alderman candidates charged seven dollars and fifty cents and mayor candidates fifteen dollars for election costs.
The Georgia football team travels to Birmingham to face Alabama, Coming off Clemson and Alabama losses the Georgia squad is determined to win. Alabama outweighs Georgia by about ten pounds per man. Georgia hosts Stone Mountain in Athens this afternoon coached by Forsyth and trained by Arthur Sullivan. Admission 25 cents adults 15 cents children.
Mr. S A Wade of Sylvania Ga died Thursday after a brief illness and was buried yesterday. He was the brother of the late Dr R M Wade of this city and well known to local residents. The notice also contains several election procedure statements about oaths ballots and polling procedures.
A large dam across the Oconee River at Barnett Shoals nears completion with about 300 feet finished. The 400 foot long structure eight feet high will unlock 3000 horsepower and allow Capt. James White to nearly double the Star Thread Mill by adding at least 5000 spindles next year. Other factories may follow to use the extra power.

Yesterday morning a fire destroyed the barn and stables on Mr. Jacob Fla tau’s property. Loss estimated at no less than one hundred dollars. Horses escaped but forage burned. Fire department prevented spread to neighboring houses. A separate notice offers twenty five dollars for information leading to conviction for stealing a bale of cotton from the Oconee Heights Ginnery and Milling plant on Oct 21 or 22.
Athens Daughters address a project to construct a dormitory at Rath County High School as decided at their Macon meeting. The hall will be named the Francis S. Bartow Memorial in memory of General Bartow who fell at First Manassas.

Charleroi Pa born Dr J Koplowitz has accepted a rabbinic call at the Hebrew congregation in Athens Georgia. He preached at the Christ English Lutheran church last evening to Jewish and Gentile members alike, praising brotherhood and Fatherhood of God and appealing for unity between faiths. He has served congregations in Atlantic City Easton Richmond and has been warmly received by both communities.
This evening from five thirty to nine o'clock the Y W C A at State Normal School hosts refreshments in the auditorium built. A fine musical program will be the main feature of the evening and proceeds benefit the Y W C A.
Work on the new water main in the Boulevard section nears completion. The line runs from the Boulevard along Chase Street Nantahala Avenue then through Southern Manufacturing Co. property along Hiwassee Avenue back to the Boulevard and on to Park Avenue to reconnect with the Prince Avenue main.
The Athens Dispensary will close its doors on November 7 by unanimous vote of the city commissioners After a meeting yesterday the commission resolved to keep the dispensary closed all day The move aims to insure peace and quiet in Athens with thousands visiting the city that day Community leaders praise the decision as a safeguard for public order.
Miss Mary Pembroke Wilde of Kentucky has been elected to the position of cataloguer at the University. She has taken charge of her work and made a splendid impression succeeding Miss Anna M. Stevens, now teaching at the Carnegie Library school in Atlanta.
The Crescent Comedy Company opens a five night stand at the Athens theatre next Tuesday with In the Shadow of the Guillotine as the opening bill. The troupe presents its own scenery and special effects with 10 20 and 30 cent prices and free admission for ladies Tuesday night.
