Death of Frank Christopher in Oconee County
Frank Christopher, a prominent farmer near Watkinsville in Oconee County, died yesterday at his home. He was about middle aged and well known in Athens. His brother E. M. Christopher of Athens survives him. Burial was expected this afternoon in Watkinsville after funeral arrangements were completed.

Diocesan council adjourns after long Athens session
The Atlanta Diocese Protestant Episcopal council ended a lengthy three day meeting in Athens with no action on changing the church name. It approved a $75 000 endowment plan and elected officers and committees. Delegates to the New York convention were named and thanks extended to Athens residents and the press. A girls school for the diocese received endorsement and a special committee was appointed to pursue funding.

Dog Catcher to Begin Rounds Monday
The dog catcher will start rounds next Monday morning. Owners who have not secured a tag for their dog risk a missing pet on Monday night. Tags are available at city hall for one dollar each. A number of tags were purchased yesterday and the 191% tag is now due to save your dog from the Catcher.
