Diocesan Council Opens in Atlanta Church Service
The sixth annual meeting of the Diocese of Atlanta Protestant Episcopal Church convened at Emmanuel Church. Bishop C. K. Nelson presided at Holy Communion and delivered the annual address on church state, past year records, and future plans. Federal Court Adjourned Till June Sixteenth At UGA
Yesterday Judge Newman adjourned federal court until June the sixteenth Monday of Commencement week at the University of Georgia. Criminal and civil business will be taken up then. The grand jury has found considerable business but no true bills of unusual or sensational character. Judge Newman and many lawyers will attend the bar association meeting at Warm Springs today and tomorrow.

Electrical experts depart for national lighting meeting
Messrs C D Flanigen and A H Sykes leave Saturday for Chicago to attend the National Electric Lighting Association convention. The meeting drew a large crowd with good weather and high spirits. The next session will be in Macon city. Six teams competed for prizes in degree work with Atlanta, Athens, Columbus, and Rome fielding teams.

Namesake of Alexander Stephens Dies at Crawfordville
Friends in this city mourn the death of Alexander H. Daniel in Crawfordville where he was born and named after the famed Alexander H. Stephens. He had been in ill health for months, leaves a wife and ten children, and was an active Baptist member. He was buried Tuesday in Crawfordville as his brother from Athens returned home.
