First Annual Trustees Meeting Sets Building Plans
The State Normal School announces its first annual trustees meeting in this city Saturday morning. The board, created since last commencement, will decide on building plans funded by a five thousand dollar state raise and ten thousand dollar gifts from James M. Smith and George Foster Peabody, alongside a twenty-five thousand dollar appropriation by the General Assembly. Faculty elections and salaries, plus other matters, will be addressed. Saturday night features junior exercises, Sunday morning sees a baccalaureate by Rev. Joseph J. Bennett, and Wednesday morning Dr. Wycliff Rose delivers the address with diplomas to eighty five graduates. A reception for the degree recipients completes the events.
