Georgia Gecrackers Rout Mercer In Macon Diamond Tilt

Georgia defeated Mercer 10 to 4 in Macon as Maynard pitched for Mercer and Bower for Georgia. Georgia broke through late to win amid rain and a crowd of about two thousand. Howel relieved for Mercer as Georgians piled up five runs late. Umpire was John McIntosh. next game scheduled for Monday.

Death Comes Swiftly to Noted Oglethorpe Doctor

Dr. W. M. Willingham, a leading Oglethorpe County physician and longtime Georgia legislator, died suddenly yesterday afternoon near Crawford Georgia. He was in good health prior to a heart pain while walking about a mile from home and died within minutes. His death shocks his family and many friends who recall his prominent service to the county and state. Funeral arrangements were announced for today.
