Athens Lodge Elks secured sixty-two scholarships for the State Normal School and aim for 100 by September with efforts to obtain the remaining thirty-eight. Athens Lodge No 790 will provide four scholarships next session with subscriptions from members led by Aaron Cohen. Girl and Boy Fight With Knife Injury Near Home

Yesterday on Hancock avenue seven year old Harry Jackson and Lula Cleveland fought over a trivial dispute. Harry slashed Lula with a pocket knife, leaving a six inch gash below her knee. The wound stopped bleeding and Lula is expected to recover. the boy is deemed too small to be punished.

University of Georgia to perfect School of Pharmacy

The University of Georgia will reorganize and strengthen its School of Pharmacy as authorized by the board of trustees. In addition to university professors, an expert professor of pharmacy will be elected within thirty days. Willie Katie Nelms died yesterday morning at eleven at her father's home in East Athens after eight weeks ill health. Funeral conducted by Rev. Ellison D. Stone, interment in family church ground at Tuckston. She was a Methodist member for ten years and died triumphantly in the Christian faith.

A two story sixty by twenty eight foot barn is under construction on the State Normal School grounds at the western edge of the woods. It will house twenty two cows once finished, though only six are present now. Funds for the long planned addition have finally become available.
