Citywide Christian Endeavor gathers in Athens for youth conference
A large turnout from Chri stian Endeavor units across Whit County and nearby counties assembled in Athens for a four day youth conference. Prominent speakers included Rev J R McGregor and Dr W T Thompson with sessions on home mission study and spiritual outreach. A memorial program honored Tibet missionary Dr Albert LeHoy Shelton, and a life work recruit drive encouraged youths to join ongoing overseas efforts. A noon meal followed the talks and local church leaders offered hospitality before the event concluded.
