Convicted Escapee Caught Near Madison County
W H Battson, a white man sentenced to three years in Baldwin county, escaped from a road gang last Wednesday and was captured late Saturday by Sheriff W E Jackson, with assistance from H J Jackson and Col John B Gamble. He was found in a local negro house and arrested without difficulty.
