East Athens to regain carrier service with new order

A new extra carrier may be mounted, improving rural route delivery and ending the East Athens sub station. Postmaster Fleming protests the change, which was approved during a departmental transition, with a promise to restore service and possibly mount a carrier at Washington’s request.
