Lawrenceville Judge N L Hutchins Dies After Illness
Lawrenceville judge Nathan Louis Hutchins died at his home after a months long cancer illness. A veteran of the western circuit for sixteen years and a former Georgia legislator, he served on the University of Georgia board of trustees. Survived by his wife Carrie Orr Hutchins and children N L Hutchins Jr Eva Blanche Hutchins and others, his funeral was set for 11 am at his residence with Reverends McMillan and Rogers officiating. An Emory College graduate, Civil War veteran, and longtime Democrat.

Rink Dispute Over Jester Hall Location Stirs Neighbors
Neighbors on X ton Street protest a skating rink run by Black residents at Jester hall. A petition signed by residents asks council to abate the nuisance due to late night activity keeping them awake. The council will act to enforce order or the rink may be abated.
City Aldermen Approve Immediate Sewer Construction
In a reported meeting note the council discussed a sewer project with an estimated cost of one thousand dollars. On motion by Alderman O'Farrell the sewer line was ordered constructed at once.

City Board Plans Unisified Room at Childs Street School
The president of the city board proposes a new unified room at Childs Street School to house one grade next session. Estimated cost is $300, approved by council. Work to begin soon under city engineer supervision and the room to be ready for the opening of next school session.

City To Switch To Metered Electric Service
The council decided yesterday afternoon to switch to metered electric light charges instead of a flat rate. The light committee said a substantial sum could be saved since most lights are not heavily used. A resolution was passed to install meters.
