Special to the Banner. Shelbyville Kentucky June 11 ceremonies for laying the corner stone of the new Shelby County courthouse were held before a large crowd. The event was conducted by Solomon Lodge No. 5 A and F M, which previously oversaw the corner stone of the old 1844 courthouse.
Atlantic City June 11 The annual convention of the American Railway Master Mechanics Association opened today for a three day session discussing the railroad smoke nuisance and ways to abate it. All principal railways of the United States and Canada are represented.
The annual North Georgia Conference Epworth League meeting runs June 19 to 22 in Milledgeville Georgia. A Nashville Epworth team leads opening services with talks by Dr W R Hendrix Mrs T E Patterson Dr John S Jenkins and Rev Nath Thompson. Delegates from all chapters and churches are urged to attend and be entertained by local committee chair T H Cavaker.
